NFL Hall Of Fame Quarterback Tom Brady came back from a devastating knee injury to win multiple Super Bowls.
Setback: In the 2008 NFL season opener, Tom Brady, the New England Patriots star quarterback suffered a serious knee injury versus the Kansas City Chiefs. The Michigan alumnus tore both his ACL and MCL and had season-ending surgery. During Brady’s absence, the Patriots missed the playoffs altogether for the first time since the 2002 season.
Comeback: Brady vowed to not let the injury get him down. He approached his rehabilitation wit innovative new training methods which focused on a more holistic approach to wellness and performance. After making a full recovery, Brady went on to play 14 more seasons in the NFL The seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP retired from professional football on February 1, 2023.
